Radiology is the Science of Radiation using both ionizing and non-ionizing modalities for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the human body.

Available Radiology examinations at Medical Center Taguig that helps in detecting diseases;

• Xray- the most common and painless test that produce structure images of the body such as the bone structures, the chest and the aerated lungs, the heart, the vesses, shadow of the diaphragm and adjacent, costophrenic sulci, the air-filtered trachea and bronchi, the abdomen visualizing the liver, spleen, air-filtered stomach and bowels, soft tissues of the body from the scalp down to the extremities. This kind of procedure serves as the baseline screening for clearances purposes.
• Ct Scan- uses computerized processing to create slices of the bones, blood vessesl, body tissues. It gives a more detailed images. 
• Mammography-the process of examing and screening the human breast. The main purpose of this procedure is to detect early breast cancer related cases. 
• Ultrasound- it uses sound waves inside the human body to produce images of the different organs from small parts to larger organs. It is useful in preganancy and gynecological conditions. 

Radiology is composed of different health care professionals;

• Radiologist- they are medical doctors who specializes in diagnosis and treatment of disease entities.
• Interventional Radiologist- they are sub-specialist who performs minimally invasive procedures such as imaging-guided biopsies, percautaneous drainage tube insertion and other procedures that are both diagnostic and therapeutic.
• Radiologic Technologist or Radiographers- they are healtcare professionals who perform disgnostic imaging procedure like x-ray, ultrasound, Ct scan, MRI, PET CT scan.
