Company Background
Medical Center of Taguig City, Inc. is located in the heart of Taguig City, a budding residential community in Barangay Ususan. The corporation acquired a 3,000 square meter lot situated in the main thoroughfare along Levi Mariano Street (Figure 1). The corporation envisions a 9-storey building with a 200 bed capacity, with a total of 9,000 square meter floor area. A total of 53 major shareholders comprise the corporation and is composed mainly of doctors. At present, 800 common stock holders have already subscribed.

Organizational Structure
Different divisions will be created in the hospital. Figure 2 shows the organizational chart of the company, headed by the chairman and the board of directors. The board of directors formulates the strategic planning which will then be implemented by the division managers. Policies and administrative task will be supervised by the unit managers. Quality of services will be monitored and evaluated periodically. Short term and long term evaluation will be done to determine growth, efficiency of the operation and the response of the hospital to the changing business environment. Reports will be reviewed by the Board of the Directors.
Market Data
The hospital will provide health services to the residents of Taguig and its surrounding communities. The hospital is strategically located in the populated residential area (townhouses and medium rise condominium) Barangay Ususan; and easily accessible by all forms of land transportation.
The catchment area, mainly Taguig City, is comprised of 2 district and 28 barangays. Taguig City is an emerging city for business locators and is becoming a fast budding business hub in the country. According to the 2007 Population Census, the population of Taguig City is approximately 613,343 with a growth rate of 3.82%. The fast growth of businesses in the area will provide employment to the resident of Taguig and surrounding communities. These will result in urbanization that can potentially lead to increase reliance to pre-paid healthcare services such as HMO, which is vital to the income of hospital nowadays. In addition, expansion of the health coverage benefits of the National Health Insurance coverage (Philhealth) will ensure medical care for the marginalized sector of the community through a better and sustained financing of services by the Philhealth and in cooperation of the local government.
The hospital will apply in the Department of Health as a LEVEL II health care facility with a 50 initial bed capacity that will provide the highest quality care delivered in a cost-effective and compassionate manner. All clinical specialties (internal medicine and its subspecialty, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and its subspecialty, Orthopedic Surgery , and General Surgery and its subspecialty including minimally invasive surgery; and ancillary service units (Dental Unit, Emergency Medicine, Outpatient Department, ICU, Operating Room, Delivery Room, Nursery, Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy will be provided by the hospital.
